The chicken tractor is moved everyday to a fresh patch of grass, they get vitamin D, fresh air, eat bugs. They are mostly in the orchard which in turn gives our fruit trees a boost. Mom is a pure Tamworth, dad is a Berkshire crossed with a Hereford. Ready for their new homestead first week of December. They are friendly, curious and smart. They are electric fenced trained. We have 4 females left and 1 intact male.
Delivery possible for a fee
Considering the current challenges, growing food independently is a sensible approach. The idea of raising your own pork provides a sustainable solution. When land availability is an obstacle, WE CAN HELP.
We raise pigs and you can get great, clean pork, free of antibiotics, no shots, just natural meat. We husband everything from start to finish. We bring the pig to an approximate weight of 220 lbs live weight. Around 6 months. They have a barn to sleep and nap in, they also have a large fenced in area where they can play and snooze in the sun for that vitamin D. We do monthly instalments so when butchering time comes that's all you have to worry about.
The meat is beautifully marbled and red in color, the taste well lets just say when Steve eats a rib eye I usually have pork.
